Identification:

The Emerald Dove which is a generalization resident bird in the breeding of tropical birds of southern Asia, India and east  Sri Lanka to Indonesia and north and east of Australia. The Turtledoves are also known by the names of Green Green-winged Dove and Pigeon. Emerald is a stocky turtledove, medium turtledove, typically 23 to 28 inches long. The back and wings are bright emerald. The flight feathers and tail are black, and the large black and white bars give a show in the lower back when it runs. The head and underparts are vinous dark pink, fading to gray in the lower belly. The eyes are dark marom and the legs and feet are red. The male has a white spot at the tip of the shoulders and a gray crown, which the woman lacks. Females tend to have a browner complexion with a gray mark on the shoulder. Young birds resemble the females but they have marom scallops in your body and in the plumage of the wings.
