Cardinals
As the name implies, is a bird that lives in the region of the Amazon rainforest in lowland woods and beside rivers.
These birds measure about 16.5 cm long, with red throat with a black stain. They are also known as the tanager. They are part of a group of birds known as the Cardinals, as Cardeal-de-topete-vermelho, Cardeal-do-nordeste and the Cardeal-do-pantanal.

The Cardinal of Virginia, as its name suggests, is from the USA (Virginia), Central America and Canada. Its scientific name is Cardinalis cardinalis, and belongs to the Cardinalidae family, the same as the Yellow Cardinal, Northern Cardinal, among others.

They are birds that live in places with lots of greenery and open woodlands. It is believed that the earliest writings on the species occurred in 1758.
